Medicare Increases Costs Across the Board for 2025

Hike in both premiums and deductibles

Every year around this time the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid announce the new premiums and deductibles for the coming year. That was published on November 8th. Here are some of the important numbers and price hikes seniors will have to manage in 2025.

Medicare Part B covers a variety of essential healthcare services, including physician services, outpatient hospital services, certain home health services, durable medical equipment, and other medical services not covered by Medicare Part A.

Medicare Part B costs for 2025:

  • Standard Monthly Premium: $185.00 (up from $174.70 in 2024)—Deducted directly from Social Security checks
  • Annual Deductible: $257 (up from $240 in 2024)

Medicare Part A primarily covers inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility services, hospice care, inpatient rehabilitation, and some home health services. Most beneficiaries do not pay a premium for Part A

Medicare Part A costs:

  • Inpatient Hospital Deductible: $1,676 (up from $1,632 in 2024)
  • Daily Coinsurance for 61st-90th Day: $419 (up from $408 in 2024)

The $10.30 Part B premium reflects a 5.9% increase over 2024. The Social Security Cost of Living Adjustment was 2.5%.
